Who Should Attend?

New and experienced decision writers, reviewers, and counsel with administrative and regulatory agencies, boards and tribunals.  This is an introductory course but will be useful for anyone who has not done a full-day structured program on decision writing, or who wants a refresher.  

Faculty

Pamela Chapman, arbitrator and educator, will facilitate the program. A group of expert facilitators and instructors from the administrative justice community will lead group discussions and writing exercises, and guest panelists will discuss developments in adjudication. Past faculty, panelists and coaches have included: Caroline Mandell, Legal Writing Coach, Tim Moseley, Commissioner, Ontario Securities Commission;  Justice David McCombs; Justice Katherine McLeod, James Schneider, Counsel, Social Benefits Tribunal; David Goodis, Assistant Commissioner, Information and Privacy Commissioner Ontario and other experts in the field of adjudication.
