The Canadian Mental Health Association will present this half-day workshop within the framework of mental health and illness in the workplace. It will focus on how to sustain mentally-healthy practices and will provide a high level overview of some of the challenges facing today’s workplace. We will engage participants in a more in-depth conversation regarding a common mental illness: anxiety. In the context of this challenge, we will explore practical skills to not only improve interactions with clients but also improve how we interact with our coworkers. This course is designed for anyone who is interested in learning about healthy workplace practices.
Speaker: Lawrence D. Blake, M.Phil, PhD(c) - Canadian Mental Health Association
Lawrence manages the Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario’s workplace mental health program, Mental Health Works. In his capacity as the Project Coordinator, he regularly travels to train workplaces on mental health awareness, accommodation practices, and the National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety.
This course contains 2.5 CPD Professionalism Hours.
