Due to high demand, SOAR is offering a second workshop of the training that was held with Henry Wai in June 2016 (From Punching Bag to Ally: Transforming Challenging Situations). 

We all want to matter. Our ability to be present to ourselves and those we interact with using empathy and clarity can make the difference between a breakdown and a breakthrough. Compassionate Communication™ excels in providing practical ways to calm upset and get to what is really the matter behind criticisms or demands.

Join us for this highly interactive workshop where participants will have an opportunity to role play the tools learned, in order to:

1) Bring calm and relief when faced with frustration, anger or other strong upset

2) Respond to criticisms, judgments, demands or other expressions of dissatisfaction in a way that is less stressful for you and the person you are meeting

3) Take challenging situations less personally and build mutually respectful relationships

Trainer: Henry Wai helps people to work effectively, compassionately and with vitality. He has 30 years of experience leading trainings, developing programs and delivering direct service in the social services, social enterprise and co-op businesses.
