Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) is taking the legal world by storm. Law firms and corporations worldwide are investing millions of dollars in Gen AI development and applications. Ontario’s regulators and adjudicators are dealing with the growing everyday reality of AI, as we identify and assess the risks and benefits that it brings. SOAR is here to help.

Join Jordan Furlong, facilitator, and Colin Lachance, expert AI resource, on May 22, 2025 to explore how Gen AI is impacting the administrative justice sector.

This half-day, interactive, limited-registration workshop will give attendees the insights, information and practical tools to navigate the churning waters of Gen AI.  Group discussions will facilitate critical thinking and exchange diverse perspectives while exploring: the rapidly changing landscape of AI, its impact on the adjudicative sector, AI policy development for tribunals, advice for handling the use of AI by parties, practical information about bias, confidentiality, transparency, and much more.

Who should attend:

This interactive workshop is designed for those grappling with the implications and opportunities that AI brings. This is not an introduction to Gen AI. We expect participants to have an intermediate understanding of AI and its uses.

If you are an adjudicator presented with AI generated submissions; a Tribunal Chair considering the implications of AI for your hearing processes; or a regulatory body seeking to proactively address the complexities of AI while fostering innovation and protecting public interests, this session may be of interest to you.

NOTE - We are limiting registration for this event. Only five people per organization may register.

Registrations are firm. We do not provide refunds only substitutions.
