The Society of Ontario Adjudicators and Regulators (SOAR) is a Toronto based organization of Chairs, members, management and staff of administrative justice agencies.  The mission of SOAR is to advance administrative justice through education, advocacy and innovation.

SOAR is seeking to fill the part-time position of Executive Director.  This position is responsible for the implementation of policies set by the Board of Directors in a manner consistent with the mission and strategic plan of the organization.   The Executive Director monitors and oversees the financial management of the organization, manages personnel resources including volunteers, coordinates public relations and administration as well as develops, plans and delivers programs and services.

The successful candidate will have familiarity with administrative justice and its delivery, extensive experience in senior leadership positions including administrative and financial management, experience dealing with volunteer based organizations, and knowledge of the development and delivery of professional development programs.  The ideal candidate will be an experienced communicator who is well organized and diplomatic, has demonstrated skills in negotiation, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

The successful candidate will have a university degree and/or relevant experience and will be familiar with Microsoft Office, with accounting software and will have expertise with website support and maintenance as well as database systems and management.

This is a contract position to be reviewed annually.  Remuneration is competitive with that of similar positions in other not-for-profit organizations of comparable size and scope.
