ADMINISTRATIVE PENALTY TRIBUNAL
Do you have a background in adjudication and mediation? The Administrative Penalty Tribunal (APT) provides an independent review of administrative penalties given for parking, licensing, and traffic by-law infractions. APT members review the decisions of Screening Officers and have the authority to affirm, reduce, or cancel administrative penalties based on the merits of the case.
Hearings and business meetings will take place weekdays during business hours. Public members will be required to provide availability monthly and conduct hearings approximately 5-10 days per month on rotation. Hearings are expected to last approximately 7 hours and proceedings may begin at 8:30 a.m. and finish at 4:30 p.m. APT is looking for two members. Remuneration is provided.
