Property Standards Committee

The Property Standards Committee is a quasi-judicial body that hears appeals to orders issued by City Property Standards Officers for violations of certain Ontario Building Code and municipal by-law standards. The committee is organized into four hearing panels corresponding to the Community Council boundaries. Members of the Committee are responsible for conducting hearings and reviewing reports prior to hearings.

We are looking for eight Toronto residents with an understanding of the Building Code Act, building practices, construction standards, diverse communities and tribunal processes to serve on the Committee.
