Join Western Law Professor Randal Graham for an interactive foray into the world of legislative language. Using classic court decisions and examples from popular media, Professor Graham will help us understand the fundamentals of statutory interpretation. Exploring the concepts of vagueness, ambiguity and legislative intention, Professor Graham’s session will place particular emphasis on principles and “rules” that are useful to administrative officials faced with the job of interpreting statutory language.
