Who Should Attend?

New and experienced decision writers, reviewers, and counsel with administrative and regulatory agencies, boards and tribunals.  This is an introductory course, but will be useful for anyone who has not done a full-day structured program on decision writing, or who wants a refresher.

Faculty

Justice Susan Lang of the Ontario Court of Appeal will give two guest lectures, and Professor Pamela Chapman of the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law (and Program Director for SOAR/OPD’s Certificate in Administrative Adjudication) will facilitate the program. A group of expert facilitators from the administrative justice community will lead group discussions and writing exercises, and guest panelists will discuss the duty to give reasons.
