SOAR Scholarship in Administrative Law

ANNOUNCING SOAR SCHOLARSHIP IN ADMINISTRATIVE LAW

The Society of Ontario Adjudicators and Regulators is pleased to announce the launching of an annual academic scholarship.

SOAR is an independent, non-profit, non-partisan association of Chairs, members, management and staff of the province’s administrative boards, agencies and tribunals.  SOAR’s mission is to advance administrative justice through education, advocacy and innovation.

To promote interest in and recognize dedication to the principles of administrative law, SOAR will award one $3,000 scholarship to an upper level (L2 or L3) student enrolled in an Ontario law school who demonstrates a commitment to the administrative justice system.  Students must show, in a written essay, how their studies have led them (or will lead them) to embrace the practice of administrative law.

Applications will be accepted no later than July 31 of each calendar year- July 31, 2019.  The award will be presented at SOAR’s annual general meeting in December.

Competed applications or related inquiries should be submitted electronically to: scholarship@soar.on.ca
